Northport was founded in 1722 by furniture maker Roland Daniels. He set up his shop on what's now known as Roland Hill, where he made some of the finest pine, oak, and cherry furniture in the Northeast.
People came from all over to appreciate his craftsmanship. Today, The Northport Museum showcases over 100 unique pieces from his personal collection, graciously donated by the Daniels family in 1975.
